2000 – 2005. This role is outward facing to business,
community, intermediaries and funding bodies and inward facing
to staff and expertise areas. I act as a link between academics
and business, which involves finding the individual with the
skills to meet the enquirer’s need or analysing the
expertise within the University and developing potential business
opportunities.
- I work especially with the London Food Centre at London
South Bank University. London Food Centre supports the SME
food sector with events, courses and consultancy. These interactions
range from telephone advice to lengthy collaborations. The
London Food Centre works in regional strategies such as Inspire
and national strategies such as Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.
My role involves, assisting, initiating and overseeing all
these types of university-industry interactions.
